Javier Navarrete to attend Úbeda

Javier Navarrete, fresh off his first nomination for the Academy Awards for his impressive score to Pan's Labyrinth, has confirmed that he will attend the III International Film Music Conference - City of Úbeda.

With a career spanning over 20 years, he has already provided music to around 30 major motion pictures, further establishing a long-lasting relationship with several renowned filmmakers such as Agustí Villaronga and Mexican-born director Guillermo del Toro. It is with this latter one that he previously worked on Devil's Backbone.

Other highlights from our latest guest to the Conference include 13 Campanadas (2002), directed by Xavier Villaverde; El Alquimista Impaciente (2002), directed by Patricia Ferreira; and El Punto sobre la I (2003), directed by Matthew Parhill.

Navarrete is hereby further joining Pascal Gaigne in the list of national guests to attend the III Conference, in addition to other distinguished composers like David Arnold and John Debney, who is also acting as Honorary President of this year's event.
