The Spanish-based Úbeda International Film Music Festival has been laureated in Paris with the European Film Music Days Trophy for "its outstanding, passionate and sustained contribution to the promotion of film music".

Launched on the occasion of Centenary of Film Music, the distinction has been granted by the UCFM (Union of French Film Music Composers) and the FFACE (Federation of Film and Audiovisual Composers of Europe) in acknowledgment of the work carried out in support of film music by distinguished representatives of various branches in the film industry.

Other winners in this year's edition include Academy Award-winning composer Ennio Morricone, Ivor Novello-winning composer John Powell, as well as Academy Award nominees Patrick Doyle and renowned French director Régis Wagnier.

This has been the first time a festival honoring film music has received this award.
